2006 Panoramas, photographed by Jim Coffee.
Enjoy these highly detailed panoramic images…images that document a moment in time. These panoramas are lush with detail, with each image composed of at least three images from the camera.
Jim has been photographing panoramas since early in 2004…producing 2-4 new panoramic images per month. Documenting the world around him in artful panoramic format is a passion. Jim is assisted by his wife Cheryl.
These panoramas can be ordered printed at full resolution (9600 pixels on the long side) for $160 each. The images will be printed and signed by Jim in his studio onto archival matte paper. The print will then be rolled and shipped to you. Contact Jim by phone or email to order a custom print.
Images can also be ordered directly from this website up to 24” long, printed by Bay Photo (a professional photo lab) in Santa Cruz, California.

'Twas the morning before Christmas. Cheryl and I were into our third day of driving from Gold Beach, Oregon to her parent's home in Escondido, California. We had gotten a relatively early start that morning, drove through 'farm fog' then over the 'Grapevine' and down into the Valley.
I saw Magic Mountain coming. The morning was crisp. The light strong and from a low angle. We got closer to Magic Mountain and the urge to shoot was strong. A frontage road was spotted and we pulled over. I walked through the sage and underbrush a bit closer and set up the tripod. I had been wanting a photo like this for a while now...it looked like the time had come.
After carefully setting up I shot just one horizontal set of images, and just one vertical set. Then back to the car to continue the journey.
I'm very pleased with what I captured. No foreground. No people. No hustle and bustle. No homes in the background. No noise. No yelling. No line 'cutting'. I captured a simple image...an image of shapes...shadows...subtle colors. A quiet image. A strong image.
